Citizen of the Year
The Citizen of the Year is presented to a resident of the Municipality of Bay Roberts who the committee feels has made the most significant contribution to the town between January 1st, 2005 and December 31st, 2005.

Any nomination which refers to financial donations by the nominee must be accompanied by proof of such donations.

Female Athlete of the Year
The awards winner must excel in either a single recognized sport or sports. She will be judged solely by her achievements on a local, provincial, national and international level between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005.

Male Athlete of the Year
The awards winner must excel in either a single recognized sport or sports. He will be judged solely by his achievements on a local, provincial, national and international level between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005.

Sports Heritage Award
The sports heritage award recognizes the contributions of a builder, player, coach or team who have achieved outstanding success at the local, provincial, national or International level.

Community Lifetime Service Award
Lifetime achievement awards are presented to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution in any field (i.e. business, sports, volunteer, etc.). These awards are presented to people who have made a substantial contribution in their respective fields at the local, provincial, national and international levels.

(The award is the pinnacle of recognition by the Town and may be presented to any deserving person. The award may be presented posthumously to a family member.)

Sports Heritage Award, Famous Sons and Daughters, or any other deemed appropriate will be at the discretion of the Bay Roberts Awards Committee.
