Schedule of Events Nov 27/08 to Jan 6/09

Participate in our 11th Festival of Lights, which is designed to coordinate all activities in the town for the festive season.

Please visit the Province's first ever Christmas Illumination Park at the Wilbur Sparkes Recreation Complex opening on December 5st with the Illumination Parade from the Amalgamated Academy. Having won an award last year, the town has increased the number of lights. December 1 to January 6 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM you can observe the display. Listen to the twenty minute Songs of the Season at 88.5 FM which is synchronized with the lights.

The illumination parade, tree lighting ceremony, Christmas concerts, church services, Christmas breakfasts, dinners, afternoon teas, skating parties, the Santa Claus Parade, community caroling, "A Mummers' Christmas," mummering, and much more will be a part of the celebrations! All Home Owners and Business Owners are invited to take part
in the National Winter LIghts competition.

Each year the town has its own illumination contest for the residents and businesses from each of the following areas:

Zone 1 - Butlerville, Zone 2 - Shearstown, Zone 3 - Coley's Point, Zone 4 - Patterson St E to Back Rd E
Zone 5 - Patterson St to Jungle Jim's Restaurant including Main Highway, &Country Rd,
