Klondyke Days is a part of the summer festival in Bay Roberts. It is usually a ten day event and is held around the last week of July and/or the first week of August. The celebration includes many events, including the town's civic holiday which is held on the last day of the celebrations.
Events each year include: Super Sports Weekend, Children's Party, Family Carnival, Christmas in July, Concerts, Community Meals (Breakfasts, Dinners, and Suppers,) Dinner Theatres, Theatre, Garden Party, Deal Or No Deal, Buying Days
on the Klondyke, Barbeque, Fireworks, etc...
The event gets its name from the Klondyke, a causeway that connects Coley's Point and Bay
Roberts. It is called the "Klondyke" because it was considered to be a "gold mine" to local families that were paid to complete it in 1897.
