Visitor Information Centre

The Bay Roberts Visitor Information Centre on Veteran's Memorial Highway (Route 75) is now open and will be open until January 6th, 2011. Lois Dawe, Tourism Officer will be happy to assist you with information and directions.

In addition, the Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation Inc recently opened their office at the centre. General Manager, Sandra Roach will be available for festival and event information.

Kelly Russell - "Tradition Bearer"

Kelly Russell, who will be in Bay Roberts every Saturday night again this summer for "A Time in Pigeon Inlet," was recognized by the Historic Commemorations Board as the first provincial "Tradition Bearer."

Congratulations to Atlantic Grocery Distributors who were presented with the PRIDE Award at the recent Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador.

Tim Hortons Bay Roberts won a "2009 Always Fresh Award." The award was given to only 17 restaurants across North America, recognizing excellence in standards and customer service. • 2009 Tidy Towns Award - Population category of over 3500. The town tied with Clarenville for this award, and there were 8 other competitors.
