Jesse is a young up and coming chef from Edmonton, Alberta. Throughout his 10+ years cooking professionally he has worked at premiere restaurants in and around Edmonton, such as Sage at the River Cree Resort and Casino, Zinc at the Art Gallery of Alberta and Chartier. Before moving to Newfoundland to join owners Paul and Cindy at new restaurant, The Angry Urchin, he was a member of the Alberta Culinary Tourism Alliance, has competed in several competitions and has earned himself a few gold medals in the process. He was featured as the Canadian Seafood Champion in the 2016 World Food Championships where he represented the country against 50 other teams. He came in 10th overall and did our country proud, featuring Canadian ingredients such as lobster, maple syrup, cold pressed canola oil, and Vancouver Island Sea Salts. Jesse has a passion for fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and focuses on building a strong sense of community both inside and outside the restaurant.
