For further information, click on each of the
menu items at the left.
Over
the past two years Bay Roberts has been high on the summer tourism
map for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador with its highly
successful Klondyke Concerts which are held during the first week
of August during Klondyke Days.
While
attending events, visitors have gotten to know the first class
attractions that the town offers. The 7 km Shoreline
Heritage Walking Trail is one of the most scenic and well
developed in the province. The Shearstown Estuary is being developed as a scenic trail where animal and plant life can be observed. The restored Western Union Cable Building,
a historically significant site in the development of communication
between Europe and North America, now contains two facilities:
the "Road to Yesterday Museum"
and the "Christopher Pratt Art
Gallery." Many tourists comment on the quality of all
these award winning attractions.
Since
its development pleasure craft have been visiting the Veterans'
Quay Marina, which is located in the heart of the town.
Tourists
also spend time on the town, enjoying the many restaurants,
shopping centres, and pubs .
